Pre-Production

Producing video content – whether it be a feature film, TV series, commercial, corporate video, music video, or documentary – starts in the pre-production stage.

The Process

we know that every project is different. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to pre-production, and we tailor our process to the specific needs of all of our clients. We listen to your challenges and find solutions. We’re your eyes and ears on the ground, your contact with locals, your runner and your right hand.

But, for your reference, here is a rough idea of the pre-production process and the services that we offer.

  • Develop a Script and Storyboard: That’s right, even if you don’t have a script or idea that’s greenlit for production, we can help! We have a team of creatives that can work with you to bring your concept to life.
  • Get the Right Crew Together: We have a rolodex of professionals that we’re proud to work with. Whether you’re looking for a director, sound engineer, boom operator, caterer, driver, set designer, or lighting technician, we’ll connect you with the right people.
  • Scout a Location: Our Scouts have the international (and local!) expertise you’ll need to secure the perfect place for your on-location shoot. Aside from helping you find the ideal backdrop for your video, they’ll be able to help with language barriers, permits, feasibility and accessibility.
  • Budget: While this part of pre-production may not be the most ‘fun’, it’s certainly necessary. We have a team of financial experts who can help prioritise output and make sure you’re working within your means.
    • Secure Your Equipment: It’s important that you have the right gear. We have relationships with rental houses around the world and can get you the best deals on worldwide equipment insurance.
    • Apply for Permits and Insurance: Whether you need to apply for a permit, prepare a location agreement, or secure insurance, we have the knowledge and resources to make sure that all of  the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed, no matter where in the world you’re shooting.
